Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Last updated: 12 April 2021, 17:00
Here at Goodwood, we are pleased that the national lockdown restrictions have started to ease and parts of the estate have been able to re-open.
We are very much looking forward to being able to welcome all our members, visitors and guests back to the estate over the coming months. The daffodils are in full bloom, creating a vivid carpet of yellow and the air is warmer, sweeter and filled with birdsong.
The Goodwood Home Farm shop remains open to customers and both golf courses, as well as Goodwood Motor Circuit and Aerodrome, also reopened on 29th March. In line with the latest details of the Government’s roadmap, we are delighted to have our award-winning restaurant Farmer, Butcher, Chef, along with The Goodwood Bar & Grill and The Kennels open for al fresco-style dining in covered seated areas from the 12th April.
The Government has set out a plan of when we can expect restrictions to be lifted but this is dependent on certain conditions. We will be working behind-the-scenes to make sure that we are ready to welcome you back as soon as it is safe to do so. We can’t wait to bring you a summer filled with thrilling events once again, kicking off with the Festival of Speed in July.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

Horseracing
When can I purchase a ticket for racing at Goodwood?
We welcomed the Government’s plans to help the country out of National Lockdown on 22 February 2021.
As part of this, racing fixtures from May 17 2021 should allow a limited number of racegoers to attend if the Government’s criteria are met, this means we are likely to admit limited racegoers to our May Festival (21 -22 May). Until this point, horseracing will continue to take place behind closed doors, which sadly means our Opening Weekend (30 April – 1 May) will take place without spectators.
It was also communicated that events staged from 21 June 2021 will operate at pre-pandemic capacities, once again providing the Government’s criteria are met.
In the meantime, we are working up plans to safely bring racegoers back. Please keep up to date by signing up to our ticket alert and don’t forget to follow us on social media, we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
Is the experience / offering expected to change on racedays?
We will be regularly reviewing each fixture to ensure we follow the guidance provided by the Government and Public Health England. We will be making sure we facilitate the best experience in the safest possible way.
