Moulton celebrates its 60th anniversary at Eroica Britannia
We’re excited to announce that Moulton will be exhibiting at Eroica Britannia this summer.
There’s nothing else quite like a Moulton and this year marks the 60th anniversary of this iconic design. The Moulton bicycle is the original small-wheeled, full suspension, separable, high-performance bike. Speed and efficiency combine in these brilliant bicycles.
Founded in 1962 by Dr Alex Moulton, who designed the hydrolastic suspension for the Mini car, Moulton bikes marked a radical rethink of the traditional diamond-framed bicycle. The frame design made it easy to get on and off the bike, while small wheels reduced inertia for lively acceleration. All-round suspension made the Moulton exceptionally comfortable, decades before bicycle suspension became commonplace.
Fast forward 60 years, and Moulton bicycles are still proudly made in Britain at the company’s Bradford-on-Avon factory.
The best way to understand what makes a Moulton so different is to ride one, and that’s just what you’ll be able to do at Eroica Britannia this August.
There will be a range of Moultons to try on the Motor Circuit for a traffic-free test ride of these iconic designs.
We’re delighted to showcase such an important British brand at Goodwood this summer.
