Goodwood finalists for two prestigious awards

The grand finalists in the 2019/20 Beautiful South Awards have been chosen and we are proud to announce that The Goodwood Estate are contenders for the Business Events Venue of the Year and Large Hotel of the Year categories.
This year saw a near record 170 entries in 23 categories from various parts of the South East region - 40% more than last year. We are proud to be one of the 80 finalists chosen from entry forms and mystery shopped by expert independent judges.

It is a real honour for The Goodwood Estate to have been recognised in this year’s prestigious Beautiful South Awards as finalists in not just one, but two categories. It is a testament to the hard work of the team across the estate and at The Goodwood Hotel

Mark Smith, chairman of Tourism South East, commented; “Every year I’m blown away by the sheer quality of the businesses that enter the Beautiful South Awards. It’s a reminder that tourism businesses in the South East are a match for any in the country and some are truly world class. This year the overall standard of entries was higher than ever making it extremely tough for the judges. The margins in some categories were extremely fine. I am really looking forward to celebrating with the best of the best at the Awards night in December.’’
We will learn whether we are celebrating an award at the much-anticipated awards ceremony at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, on the 10th December, hosted by Simon Calder, travel journalist and broadcaster.
