Workout with Friends!
1. You’re less likely to pull out. It’s all too easy to put off going for that run if it’s just you, but the pressure of not letting a friend down will inspire you to stick to your fitness commitments.
2. You’ll push yourself further. External motivation from both the presence of your fellow exercisers and their verbal encouragement will help you to achieve more. You are likely to run for longer distances if you can use the time to catch up on news whilst you’re running!
3. It makes you happier. More endorphins are released when you are exercising with others due to laughing and smiling. This means you’ll enjoy it more and the whole experience will be more stress alleviating.
4. It’s safer. Running outdoors with other people is always a safer option. In the gym, friends can spot you and make sure that you’re completing exercises correctly, helping to prevent the likelihood of an injury.
5. More exercises are possible. There are some really great exercises and stretches that you need a partner for. Working out with a friend opens up a whole new range of possibilities, which in turn ensures your workouts stay diverse.
