1. What is the best thing about working at the Bar and Grill?
S: The best thing about working in the Bar & Grill is the wide variety of customers we get to interact with on a daily basis. The Bar & Grill really can feel like the hub of the hotel sometimes with guests mingling with golfers, mingling with leisure members. It can be a real cosmopolitan affair!
2. How did you get into the food and hospitality industry?
S: I started my first bar job in a pub called the Town House in Southsea as a glass washer at the age of 16! It was a great introduction to the world of hospitality and kindled my desire for a career in hospitality.
3. What is your favourite thing about coming to work each day, or the best time of day?
S: My favourite thing about coming to work each day is that no two days are the same. Getting to work at Goodwood is a dream come true, where passion for excellence is embraced and there are few places to work which are as beautiful as Goodwood on a glorious sunny day.
4. If one of your colleagues were to describe you in 3 words, what would they be?
S: Very Laid Back!
5. What is your favourite dish on the menu?
S: I love the Crispy Buttermilk Winglets, very moorish and one portion is never enough!
6. Funny question – Do you prefer leg day, or chest day?
S: Leg day - being a rugby player core strength and leg power are crucial. My favourite exercise is the bar bell front squat jump! Although I am not too fond of the jelly leg feeling after!
