Can Tiger win back-to-back majors?
The excitement on Woods’ return to glory has helped create a fascinating weekend at the PGA Championship, and it has got us thinking, can Tiger win back-to-back Majors?
The 101st PGA Championship starts this week and is taking place at Bethpage Black, in Long Island, New York. The course has held two majors before, the US Open in 2002 and then again in 2009. Tiger has seen success here previously, picking up his eighth major victory in 2002 with a four-shot lead ahead of Phil Mickelson. His last visit was in 2009 where came tied 6th.
Over the weekend there will be 34 major winners taking to the tee. World Number 1 Dustin Johnson will be looking to pick up his second major, his first PGA Championship. Rory McIlroy will look to put his Masters disappointment behind him to continue his great form this year but could Brooks Kopeka win back-to-back championships? It is set to be a fantastic weekend, and although it may be uncertain who will lift the trophy, the only certainty is the spotlight will firmly point in Tiger’s direction.
Who will win the 2019 PGA Championship?
