Eleven-year-old Jamie Burchell of Chichester, who plays off a 12 handicap, was the recipient of the Master Medal, for his victory in the first round of the Order of Merit series back on 9 April. The victor from round two on 29 May was 12-year-old Joshua McCartain of Middleton-on-Sea (14 handicap), who was presented with the Kennels Cup. The Racecourse Stableford competition, which took place on 1 August, was won by 14-year-old William O’Halloran from Slinfold (9 handicap).
The Junior Club Championships on 28 August, which formed round five of the series, was won by 12-year-old Joe Sykes from Littlehampton (6 handicap). Round three of the Order of Merit, the Road Racing Medal, was rescheduled to 29 October and provided Joshua McCartain with a second victory of the year. The overall 2016 Junior Order of Merit winner was Jamie Burchell, who amassed sufficient points to wrest the title from his opposition.
