Greenkeepers revenge
It was a hugely successful year with 20 teams entering playing a Texas scramble format, in what was brilliant weather on The Downs Course.
The greenkeepers took to the course early on Sunday morning to put together their obstacles to make it a tough day for our golfers. Obstacles included drain pipes and cones around the hole, a gym ball to sit on whilst teeing off, fences to try and chip the ball over, hoops to hit through and much more!
It was a great day with some really impressive scoring, but the eventual winners were Mark Bamford, Greg Marsh and James Stedman with 54 points. Well done to everyone who got involved throughout the day.
So, make sure that when you're taking to the course next, that you repair your pitch marks, because the greenkeepers will be plotting their revenge!
Overall results:
1 | Mark Bamford, Greg Marsh, James Stedman | 54 |
2 | Michael Bennell, Steen Claxton, David Porter | 52 |
3 | Donald MacDonald, Adam Sandieson, Michael Waite | 51 |
