The Revival Golf Challenge

71 people from across of the world took part in the Stableford format competition with everybody looking superb in their tweed jackets, plus fours, ties and flat caps, which really embraced the Revival style. The competition is played with hickory clubs, lent by Tony Hunt’s South of England Hickory Golf. Players got in the vintage buggies and made their way to the tee in what could only be described as abysmal weather conditions.

Competition was tough, with Marco Penge, who turned pro in August, pairing up with Golf At Goodwood General Manager Stuart Gillett, numerous players from the very successful Scratch Team and last year’s Champions Terry and Chris Kerr. But, this year’s Champions crown went to Adam Sandison and Paul Millard with a score of 41, closely followed by Head PGA Professional at The Academy, Christian Fogden, and Justyn Jackson with a score of 39.

Stuart Gillett said, “This was the 10th year that we have held The Revival Golf Challenge and it just gets bigger and better every year. Despite the challenges of the weather, a great time was had by all the participants. The event has now become an integral part of the Revival Meeting and continues to showcase how we do things differently for our members here at Golf At Goodwood.”
