The Revival is the only historic race meeting to be staged entirely in period dress and sees everyone attending dress up in vintage style, including Goodwood staff, who love getting into the full spirit of things.
The best dressed competition provides every staff member the chance to revel in their role during the event and is a great opportunity for some good-natured competitive spirit. The categories remained the same for 2016 with the title of Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Gentleman and Best Dressed Team all up for grabs. The winner received the prestigious ‘best-dressed’ award as well as £100 in John Lewis vouchers or £150 of Cote Brasserie vouchers towards a team meal.
The costume department at the Motor Circuit offers a treasure trove of fabulous clothes from the 40s, 50s and 60s, or otherwise many staff members look to vintage clothing shops for inspiration. From land-girls to army officers, swinging sixties minis to full-on mod and biker gear, there are numerous ways to bring your fashion creativity to the fore.
