Sustainability at Goodwood
This covers Goodwood and all our activities, from farming on a self-sustaining and certified organic system, and forestry - where our policy is one of continuous cover via natural regeneration, through to our motorsport and event activity, which attracts visitors from all over the world.
Farming and Forestry are less challenging from a sustainability perspective than our international event activity. With this in mind, in 2011 we embarked upon BS8901, a Sustainability Management System for Events. This standard was republished in June 2012 as ISO 20121.

National Tree Week - 23 Nov to 1 Dec 2019
Just another day in the office for Goodwood staff, who are involved in a huge woodland creation project – the largest of its type in the South of England. The scheme involves 40 hectares of new plantations in 12 locations, and will involve the planting of over 78,000 trees.
Offset your carbon emissions
Visitor travel makes up around 50% of our carbon emissions, so you can help us in our mission by choosing to offset your own individual footprint. A £1 donation is now available at the checkout stage when booking your Goodwood event tickets, which goes towards the planting of 78,000 trees across the Goodwood estate.
