So we’ve reached the end of another successful Goodwood Breakfast Club season. It’s been a great pleasure to have you all here and so we were determined to sign off with a special treat. To this end we called in a few favours and managed to get some special guests to make an appearance ahead of next year’s 74th Members’ Meeting.
Oh what a sight it was to witness Mario Andretti’s Championship-Winning Lotus 79 roll out of the Classic Team Lotus transporter just as the circuit came alive with the sound of several hundred high-speed ‘Bahn Stormer Breakfast Clubbers assembling for another morning of bacon butties and banter.
We soon rolled it into the Jackie Stewart Pavilion alongside the Arrows A5 to complete a miniature display of Ground Effect F1 cars, while outside we positioned the Ford Mondeo and Peugeot 406 Super Tourers alongside the stunning Ferrari 512M. Each of these machines you’ll be able to see again on the 19th – 20th March next year at 74MM.
With our special guests all tucked up and ready for inspection we just had time to do a quick sweep of the early arrivals cutting their way through the incredibly thick and atmospheric fog hanging over the circuit this morning.
Luckily for us our ace snapper Tom Shaxson revels in such conditions and managed to squeeze off the moody shots in the gallery above. Nice, eh?
As we speak he’s out there braving the fog and the coffee queues to document as many cars as possible. So stay tuned, we’ll be back with more galleries shortly …
