The expanded Goodwood Aviation Exhibition, in association with AirBP, will now be a fully integrated part of the 20th Anniversary Festival of Speed Festival and Moving Motor Show (11-14 July 2013) as this dedicated aircraft show enters its fourth year.

Following the successful relocation of the Goodwood Aviation Exhibition from its previous home at the Goodwood Aerodrome to the edge of the main Festival of Speed site in 2012, this popular Festival attraction is now being moved even closer to the heart of the action for 2013.

The Goodwood Aviation Exhibition will be located directly adjacent to the many and various other Festival of Speed activities – including the 1.16-mile hillclimb – and just a few metres away from the Moving Motor Show.  This makes the Aviation Exhibition fully accessible to all of the 185,000-plus visitors that are expected to attend the event in July.

Aviation now becomes as integral a part of the event as the other Festival of Speed displays and attractions, including the hillclimb action, the competition car and motorcycle paddocks, Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ concours d’elegance, the Michelin Supercar Run and Paddock, vehicle exhibition stands, retail market, FoS Family area, FoS-TECH, Goodwood Action Sports, the RAC Cars Moving Motor Show, plus a host of other activities.

The Goodwood Aviation Exhibition enables manufacturers and agents of fixed wing and rotary aircraft, as well as aviation service suppliers, to showcase their latest innovative designs and products to both a specialist aviation audience, and an inquisitive and enthusiastic public.  The expanded exhibition will also include a civilian careers area and Goodwood business lounge, and the exhibition also incorporates a bar and eatery, and provides a pleasant environment to relax in a deckchair whilst listening to a live jazz band.

Exhibitors for the 2013 Goodwood event will include Daher Socata, Pilatus, Proptech, Nicholson McLaren, the Gama Aviation Group, Elite Helicopters, Honeywell, OryxJet, plus the Aviation Exhibition presenting partner, AirBP.

Daily air displays have been a highly popular Festival attraction for the past 20 years, with this July being no exception.  On Festival Friday and Sunday the Red Arrows will be displaying, with the fearsome Vulcan due in the air on Saturday, and the Eurofighter Typhoon displaying on the Sunday at Goodwood.

Pre-Festival of Speed, Goodwood will be running an exciting money can’t buy experience competition to win a pair of tickets to the event on Friday 12 July, plus, a flight experience in one of Goodwood’s modern fleet of Cessna over the event, and afternoon tea with the Red Arrows Display Team pilots.  This competition will go live on Goodwood’s Facebook pages shortly.
