Aviation exhibition returns to Goodwood Festival of Speed

This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed Aviation Exhibition, presented by Midair in association with Textron and Air BP, will feature the UK debut of the brand new Bell Helicopter 505 Jet Ranger XTM among several key highlights from the world of flight.

The Bell 505, which was unveiled last year and is set to replace the existing Bell 206 Jet Ranger, has never been on UK soil before and is certain to draw a large crowd of interested onlookers during the 26-29 June event. Bell Helicopter will also display a larger Bell 429.

Bell Helicopter will be joined at the Exhibition by fellow Textron brands Beechcraft and Cessna, which will bring, respectively, a twin-engined King Air and a 10-seater 208 Caravan model.

The largest machine at the Exhibition will be a Pilatus PC-12 turboprop, while another highly-popular business aircraft, the TBM900, will be displayed by Daher-Socata.

Specialist component manufacturers Proptech, Nicholson McLaren and Red Box International will display the latest in propeller, engine and ground power unit technology and Intrepid Design will show off its stunning range of aviation-themed furniture, including gaming chairs converted from ejector seats and coffee tables featuring real engine parts!

Several Goodwood-based businesses will form part of the Goodwood Aviation display. Goodwood Aviation itself will show off several members of its own fleet of machinery – including its World War 2 North American Harvard. Elite Helicopters – which will bring a Guimbal Cabri G2 – Ultimate High and the Boultbee Flight Academy will also be represented.

Rob Wildeboer, Goodwood Aviation General Manager, said: “Every year we are delighted to attract some of the biggest names in the world of private aviation to the Goodwood Festival of Speed Aviation Exhibition, and this helps the event to continue to provide a tremendous platform from which to introduce new business opportunities to our exhibitors and partners and to let our visitors see the very latest in aviation technology.”
