To Goodwood House and beyond... Infiniti prototype makes FoS dynamic debut

The Festival of Speed will give the world its first chance to see the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge in action. The Sebastian Vettel tweaked saloon will be at the event in prototype form, making its dynamic debut on the hill. Vettel’s work will be under inspection from Infiniti Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner, who will be behind the wheel. He’ll share the car with Red Bull test and reserve driver Sebastian Buemi.

The Eau Rouge started life as a static design concept at the Detroit motor show earlier in the year. But it’s far from static now; the first fully functioning prototype has a 560bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 – and it’s this development car that will power its way up the hill at Goodwood during FoS.

Despite the level of progress so far, Infiniti hasn’t yet confirmed the Q50 Eau Rouge for production. The company is listening to potential customer feedback, so remember to make positive noises when the car is on static display in the ‘First Glance’ area between runs up the hill…
