The Voltcom Crescent Suzuki World Superbike team will barely have arrived back in the country from the last World Superbike round at Misano when they head for Goodwood and the Festival of Speed between Friday 27th and Sunday 29th June. With them they will bring star riders Eugene Laverty and Alex Lowes before heading off to Portugal and then the States after the festivities.
Laverty, who sensationally won one of the opening rounds of the World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island in Australia, tells us: ‘This is my fifth consecutive year at Goodwood Festival of Speed! It’s a fantastic event with all the old cars, bikes and heroes of mine from the past so I feel like a fan for the weekend and I always enjoy my visit.’ Whilst Lowes, who is the current British Superbike Champion, says: ‘I’m really looking forward to Goodwood. Last year was my first experience of the Festival and I thoroughly enjoyed the event so it’s great to be invited back with Voltcom Crescent Suzuki.’
Both will be piloting race-replica GSX-R 1000s up the hill in front of thousands of fans, and both will be on Suzukis at FoS for the first time.
