To celebrate the launch of the all-new MX-5 roadster at the Festival of Speed, Mazda is turning Goodwood’s Stable Yard into a four day open-air music festival with an incredible line-up of new artists hosted by 6 Music’s Tom Ravenscroft.
Called “Raise the Roof”, all the music talent has a similar ethos to Mazda, each with its own unconventional approach. Visitors to the Stable Yard (to the left of Goodwood House as you look at it) will discover new bands and interact with the record-breaking roadster (coming up to one million global sales since it was launched in 1989) in ways you’d never expect. For example, visitors can literally make their own music by playing the car.
Claire Andrews, Marketing Director at Mazda, said: ‘We want to share that euphoric feeling you experience when driving the MX-5: top down, foot down and volume up.’
There’s also a chance to win an all-new Mazda MX-5 for the weekend when you take part in one of the music activations in Stable Yard. It certainly promises to be a break from the automotive norm at FoS.
