Forming part of the Festival of Speed’s inaugural ‘Race Cars for the Road’ category, located within the Michelin Supercar Paddock, the new VUHL 05RR will make its world debut at the event. It is due to be driven up the famous 1.16-mile Goodwood Hillclimb by British UK GP2 racer and Formula 1 test driver Jordan King.
The new VUHL 05RR is the result of extensive track development of the ‘regular’ 05, combined with extensive weight reduction and aerodynamic programmes to upgrade all the car’s systems to make it faster, more engaging and more track focused.
The new road-legal 05RR will be positioned above the standard VUHL 05, whilst retaining a number of comfort options, to ensure enjoyable and useable on-road performance. The VUHL will join a number of other track-focused two-seaters within Goodwood’s new Race Cars for the Road, including Caterham Cars, Radical, Lotus, Zenos, Arial, Elemental, Praga and KTM.
