It's always a pleasure selecting my favourite images from FoS, any excuse to relive such an amazing event will do. Covering this event for the Goodwood photo library always makes me feel like a privileged spectator.

Gallery: FOS 2016 Snapper's Selection – Jochen Van Cauwenberge
It is a dream to be able to work in this environment, but at the same time you can't avoid feeling the pressure of responsability. An event as special as this has to be captured worthily and being one of the photographers relied upon to do this does put some weight on your shoulders. So many special moments are out there, for you to be caught, or missed and lost forever except for the happy few that witnessed them live.
Besides the constant bombardement of highlights – every 10 seconds you witness something special enough to make any petrolheads day (or week) – now and again there are these moments that you just know you will never forget. Typically there is no telling when they will come, you just have to keep your eyes open all the time and be ready when they play out in front of you.
Seeing Troy Corser giving Agostini a push, Jenson Button coming to see Martin Brundle in his championship winning Brawn GP car, Toto and Susie Wolff having a quiet moment in the 300 SLS, Nico Rosberg taking up gardening duties or Freddie Hunt enjoying the James Hunt P1 GTR were fine examples of this. Besides four days of petrolhead heaven they are the moments I will never forget, with or without the images. I hope you enjoy this selection as much as I enjoyed making them!
