The days are staying consistently hot, tensions are rising around the GRR office and there’s a curious structure visible on the horizon across the lowlands of West Sussex. It must nearly be time for the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. So with that, we thought we’d help you all plan your FOS weekend by drawing your attention to the official provisional timetable.

Getting in there nice and early on Thursday at FOS 2017 will be the mouthwatering Batch 6 supercar and first glance display, which is to run twice a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon) over all four days of the event for the first time. Also running on Thursday will be the Sunday Shootout superstars getting in their first practice runs, before further practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and Sunday’s battle on the Hill.
A major highlight of this year’s Festival will be the inaugural Drift Competition, which will have some familiar drifter faces (as well as some new ones) sliding it out for sideways supremacy. At the other end of the motorsport spectrum, keep your eyes and ears peeled for a jaw-slackening collection of Ferrari single-seaters and sportscars old and new taking to the Hill in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the marque.
All will all be joining an array of pre-war animals, monstrous Americana, F1 weapons and much, much more for what looks set to be a spectacular running of the world’s greatest motorsport garden party.
