So there we have it. It's June, and we’re less than a month out from the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. Boy did it come around quickly! This year’s theme is, as you probably already know, "Peaks of Performance – Motorsport's Game-Changers", featuring high-watermark machinary that called for ground-up revisions in their respective disciplines.

One such mutant features in the video above, spooling and chirping at Goodwood in 2014. That would be the volcanic Porsche 917/30 with its twin-turbocharged flat-12, joining the “standard” 917, monstrous 962 and more in comprising the motorsport concerto that is, we think, a fairly accurate representation of the soundtrack of FOS.
