When his 1935 Frazer Nash Monoposto rotated, he had the presence of mind to straighten the wheels to go into the unforving hay baled squarely (and backwards). It worked, too. The car thumped to a halt with minimal damage, and he was able to drive off for the rest of the run. The 82-year-old machine looked like it barely felt the impact.
