Sir Chris Hoy knows his way round our hillclimb quite well these days. He's driven up it in road-going Aston Martins, in LMP3 Nissans and even off it in a GT-R... But what about taking a bona-fide Porsche legend up our famous driveway?

Now he can say he's done that too, after being given the chance to drive the Porsche 953 – an incredible off-road brute specially-built for the 1984 Paris-Dakar rally and based on a 911 (surely the obvious choice for a rally car?). While Porsche are linking the 953 with their new Cayenne in this clip – Hoy drove both to add to his growing list of Goodwood steeds – we're taking this as an opportunity to watch that incredible lifted 911 in the hands of one of Britain's biggest athletic heroes.
Oh, and Sir Chris didn't hold back in either car.
