Fabrizio Giovanardi has been forced to relinquish his entry at this year’s Revival. The Italian, Spanish, European and British touring car championship driver was due to drive a 1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta in the St Mary’s Trophy but, at the last minute, is no longer available to do so. David Brabham will step into his shoes to drive the Alfa in his place.
“I am really looking forward to racing at the Goodwood Revival and my first race at this historic track,” says David. “It holds a special place for the Brabham family as my father, two brothers and I all had our very first UK race car tests at this iconic track. I have heard so much about the event from my racing friends and I knew, when my schedule allowed, I should come and compete.
“It’s great to finally have that chance. I have not driven the Alfa Romeo Gulietta Ti before, but I am sure it will be a lot of fun.”
