Video: The incredible 'Owlet' in action

The ‘Owlet’ is a wonderfully unlikely-looking racing car. The Frazer Nash is so nicknamed because its porthole rear windows and tapering body style look rather like an owl peering back at all those in its wake – which is a surprisingly high number of cars, given that Patrick Blakeney-Edwards crossed the line in third place. Yes, the small, upright car is that quick, even amongst the more rakish entrants into the Brooklands Trophy.

In this video, you can watch it pitch and roll its way through the last few corners of the race. Note how the front track is visibly wider than the rear, and its propensity to lift a wheel through the chicane.
