Elizabeth Sponge
With the Queen set to become the longest reigning monarch in British History on 9 September, Kenwood, the UK’s leading expert in food preparation, is on the hunt for the nation’s favourite “Elizabeth Sponge” cake to mark this momentous occasion.
Five of Britain’s top chefs including Rosemary Shrager, Brendan Lynch, Dean Edwards, Matt Tebbutt and Miranda Gore Browne, have created what they believe is the ideal recipe. Kenwood is asking for the help of the British public to decide which one of these five tasty recipes should be crowned the official “Elizabeth Sponge” cake. Click here to view the cakes and vote for your favourite, or submit your own recipe.
Over the Goodwood Revival weekend, Kenwood will announce which of these chefs has the honour of creating the official Elizabeth Sponge. Keep your eye on our Goodwood Revival social media channels to find out who wins.
