The Goodwood Trophy is comprised of an eclectic selection of pre and post-war Grand Prix and Voiturette machines built up to the year 1950, and that would have taken to the Goodwood Motor Circuit in its earlier days.

In the years following the end of the Second World War, resources were scarcely available in motor racing development. As a result, many of the machines racing in the immediate post-war years were revisited and modified pre-war platforms. These would soon slip into antiquity as the relatively quick recovery of Europe meant the pace of development followed the rate of economic recovery closely.
This spectacular race offers a snapshot of that immediate post-war era, when the desire to race transcended the not so availble funds and resources needed to do so. Check out our glorious race gallery of literal snapshots above.
