Under cloud-strewn blue skies a mismatched collection of classics took to the track in what was very much an anything goes kind of day, with the vehicles assembled separated into just three classes: bikes, single-seaters and everything else.
Lotus Elites raced against Lister Knobblys and even a Volvo PV544, while Matchless and Norton machines were joined by motorcycles of a questionable vintage (just for sighting laps, of course) on the 2.4 mile circuit.
Also in attendance were a few famous faces – Dario Franchitti testing the AC Cobra that he'll be racing in the RAC TT, while James Haydon was spotted aboard his 1962 Matchless G50 Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy Challenger.
