Eight things to see away from the track at Revival

March Motor Works

The March Motor Works is back again with a recreation of an automotive workshop from the past, giving Revival attendees an insight into motoring in the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s. We’ve had BMW, Mini, Rolls-Royce and others put up the shop in previous years. Who will be here this year? You’ll find out… The March Motor Works can be found basically at the other end of the main tunnel into the circuit.

Freddie March Spirit of Aviation presented by Bonhams,

Sticking with the infield but taking to the skies, we have the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation presented by Bonhams. This is a Concours d’Elegance for pre-1966 aircraft which sees some rare and incredible birds from over six decades ago on display for you to see up close. Last year’s winners included a Cessna Bird Dog from 1951, a Westland Lysander from 1941 and a Westland Wasp from 1964. Don’t miss it.

Earls Court Studios presented by Sky Cinema

Back to cars but not on track and we’re looking at Earls Court Studios presented by Sky Cinema. Here you’ll be able to see some ‘cars of the future’, with an enormous selection of some of the latest high-performance and electric models which in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, would have looked like they were from another planet! Aston Martin, BMW, Land Rover and more, in addition to some left-field surprises, will be in attendance with machinery you can lust over.

Revive & Thrive Village

A really important message we’re pushing at the Revival is Revive & Thrive, which is all about environmental friendliness by being innovative in recycling and reusing. The ‘make do and mend’ spirit of the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s is relevant today, as we should all be striving to kick throwaway culture to the curb. The Revive & Thrive Village will have workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions and talks that celebrate the joys of vintage and share ways to reuse, repair and repurpose pre-loved belongings.

Bonhams

Speaking of pre-loved belongings, the Bonhams auction is always a highlight of the Goodwood Revival, with a grand selection of delightful road and racing cars for you to bid on. From an ex-Goodwood Nine Hours Aston Martin DB3, to a one-of-one open-top McLaren-Mercedes SLR 722 S Roadster, there’s always a dream car to suit any taste in the Bonhams auction.

Revival High Street

If you’re not in the market for buying any cars, that’s alright. There’s plenty more to empty your coffers on besides, down the Revival High Street, for instance! The Revival High Street is a recreation of a ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s high street, with Goodwood collaborating with a number of massive brands to bring it to life. More than a shopping experience, it’s a trip down memory lane.

Over the Road

If you catch the buying bug at the High Street, you can head just beside to the bridge over the road.  Over the Road has been the epitome of what happens at the Revival other than racing for the longest time. Literally over the road, over the bridge, with a number of shops, the Revival Car Show for pre-'66 cars, music, amusements and more.

Centennial Le Mans Trophy

Yes, at the Revival (though we’re not at liberty to disclose where), the Le Mans Trophy will be present. Look hard enough and you’ll find it, for what will be a truly unique and rarifed sight.
