Disabled Access

Goodwood has a range of dedicated facilities across the event site especially designed to meet the needs of visitors with impaired mobility, enabling you to catch all the action and experience the event to the full.

Car Parks & Road Signs

There is a dedicated car park for disabled visitors. Standard yellow road signs displaying the disabled symbol will direct you to the appropriate car park.

Shopmobility – Electric and manual wheelchairs are available to hire from Shopmobility and must be booked in advance of the event by calling 0300 500 8085. Shopmobility will be based in the disabled car park and are open from 07:30 – 23:00 on Saturday and 07:30 -19:00 on Sunday.

Temporary Access

Disabled visitors should be aware that the Goodwood Motor Circuit site uses some gravel paths. Although we endeavour to maintain good conditions underfoot please be aware that there may be uneven ground. There are few permanent roadways around the perimeter of the site. We lay temporary roads to ease movement around the event and vehicle movements within the car parks. Please note all the car parks are also on grassland.

Dedicated Viewing Platforms

There is a dedicated viewing platform within the Motor Circuit. This is located adjacent to the Startline Grandstand opposite Pedestrian Gate 2.

Large Viewing Screens

For ease of viewing, across the event site, there are six large outdoor video screens. The screens will be showing on-track action and are situated: opposite the Chicane; Lavant Corner; Lavant Straight; the March Grandstand; opposite Madgwick Corner; and next to the disabled platform.

Battery Re-Charging

All battery re-charging facilities for wheelchairs are located at Shopmobility. In addition the viewing platform also has battery recharging facilities.

Toilets

There are a number of disabled toilets at the event, one at each of the following main toilet block areas: The Daffodil, Earls Court, near the Creche, Super Shell, Lavant Corner, Madgwick Corner and Startline (outside track). There are also disabled toilets located in car park D. Please note that at the 74th Members’ Meeting a small number of the disabled toilets use the Radar Key system. Keys will be available from the attendants at the Toilets. You may also obtain a RADAR Key from the Information Offices. Please be aware that the keys must be returned after use. For further information on Radar keys please visit the Radar Key website www.radar-shop.org.uk

First Aid Facilities

Provision has been made for any medical or first aid incident. First aid points are located within the site and South East Coast Ambulance Service provide this cover. There are several doctors on call throughout the event site; they can be contacted at the Information Office, or via any Goodwood staff member. There are two Treatment Centres: Treatment Centre 1 is behind the Chicane Grandstand, beside the Blister Hangars; Treatment Centre 2 is next to the temporary Aeroclub, on the airfield behind the assembly area.
