This year’s Gerry Marshall Trophy promises to be one of the greatest in Goodwood history (or the greatest as one colleague assured us earlier), with a grid filled with stunning Group 1 touring cars, ranging from mighty Chevrolet Camaros down to tiny Minis and almost anything you can think of in between.
Today was the second official 74th Members’ Meeting test day, following on from the opening running last week. As such, and with the sun finally beating down on the Goodwood circuit, the paddocks were heaving with incredible machinery, warming up ready for the moment the action gets under way on March 19.
It wasn’t just incredible cars back at the circuit again today, in them we had some of the star drivers who will wow the crowds at #74MM, blowing the cobwebs from their helmets, including BTCC race winner Adam Morgan, ex-‘Dragon’ Theo Paphitis and former BTCC champion Jeff Allam.
The next round of testing is on Tuesday March 8, which will be the last time the teams have a chance to get their cars out on the circuit before Members’ Meeting.
