One of the most special races is the Tony Gaze Trophy, named after the Australian Spitfire pilot who first suggested that RAF Westhampnett, where he was stationed, would make a smashing motor circuit. The race is certainly one of the most beautiful we hold, featuring stunning sportscars from the 1950s. Ferraris, Aston Martins, Jaguars, Healeys and more battle it out in genuine wheel-to-wheel racing.
In 2014 it was the scrap between Max Girardo and his stunning Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France and Chris Jolly’s Aston Martin DB2/4 which grabbed our attention. The pair where side-by-side for nearly an entire lap before one of them came out on top.
