The screaming two- and four-stroke motorbikes of the Hailwood Trophy filled the Goodwood Motor Circuit with their shrill howl, for enthralled (and agonized) onlooking fans here at the 79th Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport.

Andy Hornby, Nick Williamson and Levi Day were the starting trio for the race, going three-wide pushing 250, 350 and 750CC bikes around the track. Williamson didn’t get the best start but pressed on all the same, though didn’t quite make the finish. It was Dan Jackson climbing up the order from fourth that took the win in the end. He beat out Gary Vines, who came up the order from seventh, by just a tenth of a second – a properly close finish.
