You’ve seen it on video and in images. Now, you’ll be able to see the Gordon Murray Automotive T.33 Spider live in person. At least you will, if you’re coming to the 80th Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, where the car will be making its global public debut on Saturday 15th April.

The Spider is the second of three variants to come of the T.33, with just 100 to be made of each. As the name suggests, it lifts the lid of the T.33, further exposing its occupants to the Cosworth 3.9-litre V12, as it produces more than 600PS and revs to 11,100rpm.
In particularly, singing over their shoulders will be the air intake, which will be bolted directly to the engine, meaning it’ll actually vibrate at idle, like a shaker hood on a muscle car.

Unlike the GMA T.50 which was inspired primarily by the McLaren F1, the T.33 takes its visual inspiration from the beautiful sports racers of the 1960s from the likes of Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Porsche. There’s more than a little 904, OT 2000 Periscopio, and indeed the De Tomaso Vallelunga, in the T.33’s elegant design.
The Spider, alongside the coupe and indeed their T.50 siblings, will be on display at 80MM in all their glory. Just don’t ask Gordon about the paddle gearbox option…
