Jaguar Heritage Challenge will offer grids full of pre‑1966 racers

Jaguar is taking its heritage seriously right now; as well building brand new Lightweight E-types and launching its Heritage Driving Experience, the firm has also announced the Jaguar Heritage Challenge for 2015. It will expand on the Coventry company’s not inconsiderable involvement in historic motorsport events like the Goodwood Revival and Mille Miglia.

The Jaguar Heritage Challenge, which will be run by the Silverstone-based Historic Sports Car Club, will be open to pre-1966 Jaguar models. Eligible cars will be the XK, C- and D-types, Mk1, Mk2 and pre-1966 E-types (and, yes, that includes the continuation models).

The HSCC intends to run five Jaguar races in 2015… although we can’t yet talk about when and where those races will be. Watch this space.
