A small number of significant Listers and Jaguars have been on track today, drawing an appreciative crowd of eager snappers to the paddocks. The Lister Flat Iron was the big draw, fresh from its full restoration to original specification and being shaken down by specialists CKL Developments ahead of the Le Mans Classic. You can find out more about the Flat Iron’s exacting restoration in this video.
Also deserving of attention was the 1958 prototype Lister-Jaguar; chassis number 1, of course…
In addition there was the Ecurie Ecosse D-type we last saw at auction last year (… another video) which was also being readied for duty at Le Mans, a Jaguar C-type used by Brian Johnson to warm up for the Mille Miglia (… and another video!) and finally a Ferrari 250 ‘Europa’ GT and a Cooper T33 which made for a varied paddock.
I suppose our invitation to join them must have been misplaced or something… Enjoy the gallery!
