We're loathed to pick favourites at GRR, but it's safe to say from the look on his face that our chief track tester, Andrew Jordan, was able to easily pick a favourite of the Group A cars he drove recently – it was love at first drive with the Rover SD1.

Nigel Garrett very kindly brought his SD1 along for Andrew to sample alongside the other Group A machinery we gathered for a very special private track day at Goodwood. It arrived with no fanfare, riding on the back of an open trailer, before starting frist time on the button and lapping happily for the rest of the day. It was a real favourite of all in attendance.
