Now this is proper. Old-school rear-wheel-drive rallying where the cars are sideways and rooster-tails of mud spew hither and yon. Where the art form of throttle control is synaptic, and lock discipline from muscle memory.

There’s no yaw control, no clever diffs distributing power – grip levels and slip angle are solely managed by hand and foot. It’s fully inclusive, too, with everything from little escorts and fiestas scrabbling about in the slurry, to 16-valve 190Es and whale-tail 911s turning their tyres in the waste. Nice to see these appreciating classics making their creators proud (and investors cringe).
