This one was a quintessential Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport battle. BTCC star Tom Ingram in a green Ford Falcon took on Stig Blomqvist in a thundering Ford Galaxie in a battle for fourth during the Pierpoint Cup.

Not content with besting the 1984 World Rally Champion, Ingram ran away from the group and landed a move up into third, with an outside pass of David Gooding in the blue Mustang. Ingram would go on to finish second in what was a spectacular drive through the order. Blomqvist managed to extend his own gap, as behind him Le Mans and touring car legend Steve Soper in his comparatively diminutive red Mustang got caught in a tussle for fifth against Benoît Tréluyer in his Ford Falcon. It’s scenes like these we love to see, with talents from all disciplines bringing and testing their world-spanning experience at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
