With a sprawling bonnet out ahead, we could only be on board with an Aston Martin DBR9, as the unmistakable rump of a Maserati MC12 GT1 glides into view. From the exit of La Source, it’s game on. Once the newer slightly faster R8 LMS made its way through, the MC12, our DBR9 and another DBR9 battle it out in a 36-cylinder dance through the final chicane. Oh how we hope V12s make a return in the new Le Mans hypercar era…
