Incredibly, it’s 84 years since a factory-affiliated Bentley raced on UK soil. That long period will be broken next weekend when the Blancpain Endurance Series reaches Silverstone and two M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3s will take to the circuit. The Bentley Boys are back home!
The cars had their first outing at Monza last month where they finished 7th and 8th.
Car number eight will be driven by GRR Hillclimb hero Duncan Tappy, part of a driving trio for the three-hour race that includes Jerome D’Ambrosia and Antoine Leclerc. Car number seven will be piloted by Guy Smith, Steven Kane and Andy Meyrick. They may be dressed rather differently to the Bentley Boys pictured below, but the spirit is still there. “Racing in the UK in any car is always fantastic – to do it in a Bentley makes it incredibly special. We really want to give the British fans something to cheer about,” says Andy.
The Silverstone round of the Blancpain Endurance Series will take place on 23-25 May.
