On Track Today: Little and large with Minis and Bentleys (29/07)

The sight of pre-war Blower Bentleys casting long shadows over classic Minis was the order of the day in the paddock. Medcalf Bentley and well-known Mini specialist Swiftune were responsible for bringing both ends of the automotive spectrum to the circuit.

Our gallery above gives you a feel for what was on track, but one car that really caught our eye was this 1925 Bentley Supersports. Only 18 of these short wheelbase models were made, and this was the very first one. Each one came with written guarantee that it would top 100mph, and this one recently-ish (2010) came first in class and second overall in the gruelling 8922-mile Peking to Paris rally.
