Heard about the Grand Prix of Luton, or perhaps the 6 hours of Leamington Spa? Don’t laugh, because before too long such a thing could be a reality.
In a somewhat surprising move, the government has paved the way for local authorities to temporarily suspend speed limits and traffic regulations, which would allow for motorsport events to be run on British roads for the first time since (we think!) the Birmingham Superprix in 1990.
We await any developments on the idea to run a Formula One race on the streets of London. Wouldn’t it be fun if they left the speed cameras turned on?
