Few track days at Goodwood bring with them the level of enthusiasm and bonhomie you get when Mission Motorsport rolls into our hallowed corner of West Sussex.
For those not yet aware, Mission Motorsport exists ‘…to aid the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations, by providing opportunities through motorsport’ and today there has been an outstanding selection of supercars, GTs, historic racers, historic road cars and a trio of Rolls-Royces fresh from the factory – including the all-new Dawn we saw make its UK public debut at the Vee-Power Breakfast Club last Sunday.
As well as the superb cars were Goodwood’s famed journalist Chris Harris, noted collector Richard Frankel, brother of our own Andrew, and renowned Bentley expert Stanley Mann amongst others. Smiles, anecdotes and an appreciation of the diverse selection of machinery assembled started before the Goodwood staff were making their first cups of tea in the morning and continued well into the afternoon as everyone present tried to sample as many cars as possible.
