It’s got to be near the top of the list of the world’s great iconic corners. The Corkscrew at Laguna Seca, the Karussell at the Nordschleife, Eau Rouge at Spa.

Video: Is it possible for an amateur to take Eau Rouge flat‑out?
There’s a common theme running between these corners. All throw camber and elevation changes at you. All require the novice driver to build up to them. All are, once mastered and in the right machinery, seriously daunting. Though the last of that list, Eau Rouge, has to be the most formidable of the lot because with the right car – and a serious set of stones – you can take it flat-out.
As Jethro Bovingdon from DriveTribe says in the video above, such an approach to this most iconic section is the commonplace reserve of modern sportscars and Formula 1 cars, packing serious downforce and fearless drivers behind the wheel. For a mere mortal, such an undertaking requires A) some serious machinery and B) a mental recalibration of what’s possible. A Radical SR3 RSX should do the business, it’s whether Jethro can step up to the plate. Find out if he makes it in the video above.
