Rimac is without question the forefront buzz word in the world of electric automobiles - especially for those of us who are heavily invested and interested in the future of the recreational and performance motorcar. The Concept One has achieved what few thought EVs could: It is legitimately, in every sense of the word, desirable.

They’ve caught a lot of headlines recently what with Hammond’s ill fated foray and of course, a Concept One made for impressive – if quiet – viewing at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. Rimac is, however, like any clever business, multi-faceted. As far as out-sourced battery tech goes in the auto industry, they pretty much run the show. You’ll find Rimac stamped on the power packs of the Koenigsegg Regera and Aston Martin Valkyrie and the list will likely only go up.
Then there’s this monster. The Rimac Tajima E-Runner hillclimb weapon. Near-on 1,500bhp via four electric motors connected by chain-drives, shunting this aero-clad slick-shod UFO of a machine in glorious 360º is pretty damn spectacular. As far as EVs in motorsport go, for us, this thing is leading the charge.
