There’s every chance that you, like us, are looking ahead to the colder months and the impending motorsport void. For IndyCar fans the void is that bit larger, as the new season begins in February and the 2021 IndyCar title was signed and sealed this past weekend, with Alex Palou taking the crown in only his second season. Fear not, because if you’re missing IndyCar we’re here to help, and a helmet-cam should do the trick nicely.

We’ve written about one of Romain Grosjean’s onboards before, his first IndyCar test at Barber Motorsports Park. But seeing as Grosjean has signed a deal to move from Dale Coyne Racing to Andretti Autosport for 2022 we thought now would be the perfect time to enjoy another.
Recorded during Grosjean’s second on-track IndyCar adventure, at Laguna Seca, the ride is intense – there’s oversteer aplenty, giving you a real appreciation for just how hard IndyCar drivers have to work on a hot lap. And to think there were 27 drivers contesting the circuit for the actual race…
If you’re already longing for the new IndyCar season to get going, hopefully this will go some way to ease the withdrawal symptoms.
