The Targa Tasmania is a road rally event that has taken place annually since 1992, and each year it sees some truly spectacular cars descend upon this utterly picturesque locale to tear up the roads in some furious, but fun, rally action.

Today we’re taking a look back at the 2021 running of this brilliant event, with a relentless highlights package that features a hugely eclectic mix of cars, from a Dodge Viper with an enormous rear wing to a Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 laying down a whole load of rubber, to a Mk2 Mazda MX-5 and even an Alfa Romeo GTV.
But, aside from the cars, perhaps the most astonishing part of this video is the scenery these machines a passing through. Whether it's twisting mountain roads, vast bridges over sprawling valleys, or stretches open wilderness. The Targa Tasmania has absolutely everything.
