Finally, the successor to a double Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard Timed Shootout winner is here! It’s Gobstopper 3 and it looks a bit like a Subaru BRZ, although we’d add this car is as much a BRZ as a Formula 1 car is. While there is a resemblance in the silhouette, that is where the similarities end. The body has been bonded onto a Group C chassis, with a 950PS (699kW) 2.0-litre four-cylinder producing 894Nm (659lb ft) of torque and absolutely launching this ultra-lightweight shell around the Mallory Park circuit at an alarming speed.

It's not just the speed that’s alarming either. Just look at it! Clearly the enormous scoop on the front wasn’t enough, so a rear wing with looks akin to a park bench has been slapped onto the back. And it must develop unfathomable amounts of downforce, because at all times the Gobstopper 3 looks absolutely nailed to the road.
