Still stuck for Christmas presents? Here’s a timely offering from Lamborghini, in the spectacular guise of the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition, created to celebrate half a century of collaboration between the two Italian firms.
Actually the collaboration began in 1963, but we’ll gloss over that fact. The Pirelli edition won’t make much of a Christmas present either, as although you can order one now it won’t reach production until early summer.
Worth waiting for? Reckon so, if these pictures are anything to go by…
The special Aventador comes in a choice of two different two-tone colour schemes which are a little bit complicated so we’ll let the press release describe them:
‘The first is matte black for the roof, the pillars, the rear view mirrors, the engine cover, and the front, rear, side and moving air in takes, in contrast with six glossy finishes for the rest of the body (Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater). The second option is glossy black for the upper parts of the car and the air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior (Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and Grigio Titans).’
Otherwise, the Pirelli tribute car is all regular Aventador, and will be available in coupe and roadster form. There’s no mention of prices yet, but as the order books are already open your friendly Lamborghini dealer should know.
